Dorothy Caine, 88 of Munster, IN formerly of Whiting, IN and Douglas, Isle of Man passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She is survived by her son, Howard (Debra) Caine of Munster, IN as well as nieces and nephews in the United States, England, the Isle of Man and New Zealand. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Caine, her sister, Kathleen Taggart and her brother, George Corrin. Mrs. Caine immigrated to the United States from the Isle of Man after her marriage to Douglas in 1960. She was a 50 year member of the Whiting United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women’s group. Mrs. Caine also delivered Meals on Wheels in Whiting and North Hammond area for 30 years. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 PM with a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. with Pastor Les Ward of the Whiting United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Whiting United Methodist Church, 1920 Clark St. Whiting, IN 46394 or you can donate blood at your local blood donation center as a memorial as well.
