Dorothy M. Sweet, 85 of Hessville, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 after a brief illness. Loving mother of Judy (Kevin) Kish, Robert Sweet and Patty (Don) Gabouer; cherished grandmother of Dr. Megan (Dr. Scott) Peters, Mike Morley, Matt Kish, Deanna and Austin Sweet, Allison, Connor and Cameron Gabouer; caring sister of Earl Echterling, Eleanor Walker and Loretta (Rudy) Wolak; preceded in death by her husband, Art Sweet; infant daughter, Janet Lynn Sweet; brothers, Paul, Don, Fred and Bill Echterling. Visitation will be on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 Am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in her memory would be appreciated.
