Dr. Claude was our family doctor, but he was so much more than that to our family, each and every one of his children were close personal friends as well. His beloved wife, whom we all loved equally, was a client at my mother's beauty salon for 40 years, she was my mother's favorite client, and we all loved her dearly as well. Claude was the kindest man, I have ever had the absolute pleasure of knowing, I grew up without a father figure, and knowing this, Dr. Claude did what no man has ever done for me, he stepped up to the plate, and helped me become the man I am today. He, singlehandedly, not only showed me what a man is supposed to be as a father, but took me under his wing and taught me many of life's valuable lessons. Through Claude, I was shown how to treat a woman proper, as I witnessed him 'in action', on many occasions, as he always, lovingly interacted with his wife Barbara. One of the many things I was told, is that it's not always easy to be a man, without seeing a man, and Claude knew exactly how to show me, what a man is supposed to, not only act like, but how a man is supposed to respond to his peers closest to him. In my opinion, there wasn't a better man, I have ever known. I would also like to add one additional comment, after each and every visit to his office, he ended our meeting with the most incredible hug, one could ever dream of, that man hugged me so tight, after every single visit, I felt his love pour directly into my soul, anyone who had the pleasure of receiving his hugs, will attest to this statement as 100% accurate and true. He taught me many things growing up, mostly how to love, how to treat people, how to treat a woman proper, and lastly, and arguably the most important, how to hug, that man could cure any illness with his hugs alone. I loved him as a father, and I have loved his entire family, my whole life. sorry for the short novel, but I wanted to share how much I loved this man, and how much this man showed me what love is. Warm Regards Always. Kevin.

We are praying for the whole Foreit family as you grieve the loss of your patriarch. Claude and Barbara were classy and very generous people whom we miss a lot. It was always a joy to visit with them at the osteopathic association meetings, and Claude represented the profession well on the IOA board, as a delegate to AOA, and sharing his insight and wisdom with fellow physicians.
