Dr. William Potasnik, age 90, of Munster passed away Tuesday July 29, 2008. Dr. William Potasnik, age 90, of Munster passed away Tuesday July 29, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn (nee Teeple) two sons, Bill of Munster, Jay of Chicago, two daughters, Mary (Dr. James) Gordon of Carmel, IN and Patty (Dr. Eric) Ladd of Munster. Five grandchildren, Kurtis, Bethany, Sara, Emma, and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary (nee Wajvoda) brothers, Michael, John and Paul, and sister Mary.Bill graduated from Clark High School in Whiting. He served in World War II as a First Lieutenant. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his graduate degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry after which he practiced dentistry in Northwest Indiana for 35 years. He was a member of the Hammond Rotary for many years. His hobby and greatest passions were being with his family and playing tennis.Visitation will be Friday, August 1st at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. from 3-7. Funeral services will be private.In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
