Edna Bieganowski, 83 of Dyer, IN formerly of South Chicago, IL passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Caryn Burke; son, Michael Bieganowski; granddaughter, Courtney (Jason) Smith; Busia to Carson and Samantha Smith; sister, Genevieve Kovac; niece, Julie (Chris) Fleming; nephew, Anthony (Michelle) Kovac; preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Chester Bieganowski and sister, Martha Pawlicki. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Edna enjoyed playing bunco and bingo for many years. She belonged to many senior groups in Northwest Indiana and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org in her memory would be appreciated.
