Edna Werkowski, 84, of Schererville, IN formerly of Hessville passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015. Beloved mother of Mark, Gary (Leslie), Jay (Nancy), Jim (Julie), Tom (Roxy Zawistowski), Duff (Debbie), Michael (Mary) Werkowski and Amy (Clay Lambert) Werkowski-Pleasant. Loving grandmother of 10 and cherished great grandmother of 3. Caring sister of Janet Legg, George “Bud” Berg and Joan Clyborne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Werkowski; parents, George and Anna Berg; sister, Mary Anna Davidson. Visitation will be on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 10:00-10:30 am at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Michael Church, 1 Wilhelm St. Schererville, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Edna was a member of the Pi Epsilon Kappa Catholic Women’s Sorority. She was a member of and a Hospitality Minister at St. Michael Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Bishop Noll Institute or St. Michael Church’s Music Ministry in her memory would be appreciated.
