EDWARD A. BROWN MUNSTER/HAMMONDEdward A. Brown of the Calumet Area, age 66, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly of Schererville and grandson Elliott; two brothers: Clyde (Sandy) Brown of Highland and Tom Brown Munster; two nephews: Bob and Tom; four nieces: Christine, Cari, Katie and Lauren; four great nephews and seven great nieces. Preceded in death by his parents M. Clyde and Carolyn Brown. Ed graduated from Hammond High School and Indiana University and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He followed his brother Tom into the Real Estate Business for Sam Ennis Co. He was Purchasing Agent for the City of Gary where he established a program for Class II Cities that was copied by the State of Indiana. He became the City Comptroller for Hammond under Mayor Tom McDermott. Ed became a consultant for many municipalities and worked for the Mason Metal Corp. He did consulting work for many corporations regarding wetlands remediation. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN, Saturday February 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a \”Celebration of Life Party\” at 4:00 p.m. from the Indiana Harbor Yacht Club, 3301 Aldif St., #4E, East Chicago, IN.
