Due to a merger of his parent steel company, with another steel company, he was appointed General Manager of the re-organized railroad division of LTV Steel Company, a position he held until his retirement on June 30, 1994. Ed was very active in the railroad transportation industry and was Past President of the Calumet Region Freight Agent’s Association, the Chicago Car Accounting Conference and the Chicago Railroad Superintendents Association. He was a past member of the Chicago Jitterbug Club, the Windy City Jitterbug Club, the Rebels West Coast Swing Club, and the Zavada Dance Studio in Calumet City.
