Edward A. Gomez, 49, of Lansing, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Katie (nee Hinkleman); children, Anthony, Olivia and Teddy Gomez; father, Rudolph “Rudy” Gomez; sister, Fran Callahan; nephew, Jack Callahan; several aunts, uncle and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Gomez; nephew, Patrick Callahan; numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation will be on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 3:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 Am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private. Ed was a longtime coach of Littler League Baseball and Youth Soccer in Northwest Indiana. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church.

Our condolences to Katie and his children. The Suarez/Mendoza cousins, from his mother's side, got to watch Eddie grown up to be a nice young man. As usual, life gets busy and we couldn't keep in touch as much as you would have liked. But when we did run into each other, he treated us as if we had just seen each other the day before.
