Edward J. Raskosky, 89 of Hammond, IN passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012. He is survived by his wife: Margaret LaMere-Raskosky; sons: Phillip (Jennie) Raskosky and Roger (Debra) Raskosky; grandchildren: Patti (Greg) Burczyk, Phillip (fiancé Kim Riley) Raskosky, Eddie Raskosky, Nicole (Michael) Elvanian, Roger (Heather) Raskosky, Sean Raskosky and Patrick Raskosky; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by his first wife: Dorothea Raskosky; sisters: Margaret, Annie, Theresa and Betty. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 3:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday from 9:30-10:00 at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Hammond, IN. Interment will be at St. John / St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Ed was a Navy pilot during WWII and an Attorney since 1950. He served as a State Representative and Hammond City Judge before becoming Mayor of Hammond, IN.
