Eileen McHenry Hasse, 49, of Munster, IN passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014 after a 6 year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She is survived by her husband John; her children Elizabeth, Sean and Quinn; her father Robert McHenry Sr of Lakeland, FL; sisters Maureen Browne of Lakeland, FL and Colleen Connell of Haddonfield, NJ; and brother Robert McHenry Jr. of Lake Zurich, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2:30 – 6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 12:30 PM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr, Dyer, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Les Turner ALS Foundation of Chicago in her memory would be appreciated.

I never knew Eileen or the family. Saw in the obit that she had ALS and my heart goes to her entire family. March 4, 2013 I lost my 50 year old brother to ALS and it was such a heartbreak for us all. He lived in Pittsburgh, so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to.May God bless you all.
