Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Villalobos, 72, of Munster, Ind., died on June 4, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rogelio Jr., her daughters Marisa (Stuart) Wilson, Vanessa and Elizabeth (Carla Thacker), her son Rogelio, grandsons Carlos and Elian, brother Donald F. (Kelly) Conner, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald Farris Sr. and Anna.
Love, devotion and generosity were important touchstones of her life. Born in Chicago on Valentine’s Day, 1948, she married her childhood sweetheart, Rogelio, on Valentine’s Day, 1969, and together, they created a warm, loving home for their children and grandchildren. Betty was a faithful friend to many, always ready with open arms and a welcoming smile. She loved the theater, traveling the world with Rogelio by her side and spoiling her grandchildren. Her immense love for her family, resilient spirit and faith in God nourished and sustained her until the end of her life.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Ind., 46321. A mass will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8501 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Ind., 46321, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 801 Michigan City Road, Calumet City, Illinois, 60409. Having Betty in my life and the entire Villalobos family truly enriched my life and gave me so many joyous memories it pains me to think no more can be made that include Betty. She was a wonderful woman, an excellent mother, a caring daughter, a loving wife, and to me a fantastic neighbor that became family. I will miss her more than she'll ever know. Peace be with you all.
