Estella Mae Olson Clausen, born to Edward & Henrietta Olson on August 29, 1918 in Vermillion, MI. Estella was raised with her brother, M. Edward Olson and her sister, Lucille Olson Maertin in Sturgeon Bay and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Estella married Laurence L. Clausen on September 23, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI. They moved to South Hammond, IN where they raised 4 children. She is survived by her children, Janice Clausen, Muehlman Kostelyk (John), Edward Clausen (Susan), Richard Clausen (Carole) and Nancy Clausen Kristensen (Robert); her 10 grandchildren, Carl Muehlman (Susan), Craig Muehlman (Nancy), Christopher Muehlman (Candi), Cheryl Muehlman, Jeffrey Clausen (Lynn), BethAnn Clausen Chudy (Peter), Michael Kristensen (Amy), Marc Kristensen (Corey), Miles Kristensen and Steven Clausen (Rachel); 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, sister and her great granddaughter. Estella and her husband Larry were very active in Eastern Star, where she held the offices of Worthy Matron, District Deputy of 19 and Grand Representative of the State of Washington. Estella was also a member of Phi Omega and Amaranth. She was an active member of Sister Bay Moravian Church during the summer months and she attended Unity Church in Hammond during the winter. Estella loved her family, her summer home in Door County on Europe Lake, both of her Churches and Eastern Star. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm with the Eastern Star holding a service at 6:30 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Sister Bay Moravian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Masonic Shriner’s Hospital and the Sister Bay Moravian Church.
