Eugene George Lesko of Munster, passed away early morning of January 18th, 2024. Beloved husband for 49 years of late Geraldine Marie Lesko; loving father of Dr. Robert (Dr. Karen) Lesko and Karen (Troy) Wening; proud grandfather of Lauren, Andrew, and Adam Lesko, Brandon and Ashley Wening; cherished brother of late M. Edward Lesko (fond sister-in-law, Vi) and late sister Helen Marie (late Jack) Skaggs; Preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Caroline “Helen” Lesko.
Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe), Munster, IN, Funeral service will be on Saturday January 27th, 2024 at 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
Gene was a longtime resident of Munster and a member of St. Thomas More Church. Gene was a United States Army Korean War veteran, a former Munster Police officer, and long time employee of Standard Oil Refinery in Whiting, Amaizo, Allied Tube & Steel and a Senior Research Technician at Amoco Research Center in Naperville, IL. Contributions for Mass intentions in his memory would be appreciated.
