Eugene Dobkowski, 63, of Munster, IN. passed away on Sunday July 20, 2008; He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years: Theresa Dobkowski; Loving father of Mark (Amy) Dobkowski of Dyer, IN. and daughter: Jodi Dobkowski of Schererville, IN. Cherished grandfather of Danielle and Ryan Dobkowski; fond brother of Thomas (Sharon) Dobkowski of Evergreen Park, IL; many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents: Alexander and Camille Dobkowski; brother: Edward Dobkowski; A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday July 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM from St. Thomas More Church Munster, IN; Interment: Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. and on Thursday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church; Mr. Dobkowski was retired from School District #155 in Calumet City, IL., served with the U.S. Army and loved to fish and spend time with his family; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated.

My prayers go out to "Mr. Gene's" family. I truly enjoyed working with him at district #155. He always had a joke to share and it was hard to stump him with a new one. He really cared about the teachers and went out of his way to help us in any way he could. He will certainly be missed as a co-worker and friend. I can picture him cruising around heaven on his Harley already. God bless.

My prayers go out to "Mr. Gene's" family and friends. It was a great pleasure to work with him at district #155. He was always extremely helpful to the teachers and was quick to make repairs. His fun personality and humor are what I will miss the most. He shared jokes with me almost daily and it was hard to stump him with a new one! I hope he's riding around on that Harley in heaven! He will truly be missed. God bless.

My deepest sympathy to all of Gene's family. I worked with "Mr. Gene" for l5 years at Wilson and he would do anything to help anyone. He especially cared for all our classroom pets-our fish and our baby chicks. I will always remember his jokes and his smile. May he rest in peace.
