Evelyn M. Trgovich

Evelyn Trgovich, 94 of Munster, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Beloved mother of Mary Lou (Deacon Dan) Zurawski, Donald and Frank Trgovich; loving grandmother of Andrew, Marti, DJ, Emily, Brian (Jeannie) Ann Marie, Deborah, Jeffrey and Jason; cherished great grandmother of Jacob, Nathan, Evan, Bruce, Alex, Justin, Bethaney and Kingston; fond sister-in-law of Audrey Benchik, Ane Sobut and Eleanor Trgovich; many nieces, nephews and cousins; preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; son, Robert; twin sister, Emaline Benchik; brothers, Dr. Frank Benchik and Edward Benchik. Visitation will be on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN with Fr. Michael Yadron celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Evelyn was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Altar & Rosary Society, the Daughter’s of Isabella and the 1st Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Evelyn’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hartsfield for their unfailing care and devotion to her as she grew to know and love all of you; another thank you to the Community Hospital Oncology unit for the excellent nursing care given to our mother. What truly loving and professional care that you provided while she was your patient; lastly, Hospice of the Calumet Area-thank you. We needed you for this special time in our mother’s life and you were there for her. Memorial contributions to St. Thomas More School Endowment or Hospice of the Calumet Area, in her memory would be appreciated.
