Fannie Kaplan, 93 of Munster, IN passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Beloved mother of Martin (Linda) Kaplan, Ivan (Janet) Kaplan and Marlene (Ronald) Primack; loving grandmother of Andrew (Jessica), Leah (Charlie), Sam, Max, Natalie, Joshua and Ilana; cherished great grandmother of Maya, Benjamin Avery, Noah and Max; fond sister of David Katz; preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Benjamin Kaplan. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Beth El Cemetery, Portage, IN (corner of Central Ave & Willowdale Rd). Shiva will be on Sunday promptly at 5:00 PM at 430 W. Barry Ave. Chicago, IL. Parking is available on Broadway Fannie was born and raised in Gary, IN before she moved to Munster, where she resided for 33 years. She and her husband ran Harbor Pharmacy in Indiana Harbor for 35 years. She was a member of Temple Beth EL and it’s Sisterhood. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society in her memory would be appreciated.
