Felix “Gene” Peak, 65 of LaPorte, In formerly a longtime resident of Hammond, IN passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Beloved husband of Starla; loving father of Michael (Maria) Peak, Michelle Peak, Melissa (Joaquin) Morando, Matthew and Jacob Beard; proud grandfather of Joshua, Ashley, Raquel, Matt, Joaquin IV, Joshua, Kaiya, Kira, Blake, Savannah and Connor; cherished son of Dora (late Felix) Peak; fond brother of Lois (Charles) Payne, Bill (Linda) Peak and Larry (Diane) Peak; caring uncle of Jimmy Peak and numerous other nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by his brothers: Leo and Leonard Peak. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM and Saturday From 10:00-12:00 Noon at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Saturday at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Gene was the owner and operator of American Welding & Fabricating in Hammond, IN. Please omit Flowers.
