Frances V. Rucinski (nee Zielinski), 85, of Dyer, IN formerly of Hegewisch, IL passed away on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2009, with her daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Anthony, and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving daughters: AnnMarie Rucinski of Dyer, IN and Roseann (Edward) Szewczyk of Schererville, IN; cherished grandmother of Stephen, Kristen and Michael; many nieces and nephews. Frances lived in Hegewisch for 80 years and had worked in Chicago for the United States Treasury Department Savings Bond Division. She was a parishioner of St. Florian, where she was a member of the St. Elizabeth Society and the Ladies Rosary Sodality. Frances was very devoted to her family and faith. She was a caregiver for her husband, Anthony, a patient listener for her daughters and an encouraging voice for her grandchildren. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls of Chicago.
