Francis “Frank” C. McCarthy, 89, of Orland Park, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Kay (nee Morley); children, Kevin (Carol) McCarthy, Mary Beth (Dale) Julius, James (late Henrietta) McCarthy, Jerome McCarthy, Brian McCarthy and Dr. Michelle Delehant; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mary A. McCarthy; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 15 years, Helen (nee Sheehan); brothers, Gerald, James and Jerome McCarthy. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Thornridge Funeral Home, 14318 S. LaGrange Road Orland Park, IL. Funeral service will be Monday, October 19, 2015 at 9:15 am at the funeral home with a 10:00 am Mass of Christian burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 15050 Wolf Road, Orland Park, IL. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, IL. Frank retired as a Lieutenant with Chicago Fire Department after 35 years of service and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
