Francis J. Dorsey, 90, of Dyer, IN passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosemary‚”Dolly”; sons, Thomas (Diane) Dorsey of Schererville, IN and Richard (Janis) Dorsey of Avon, IN; daughter, Pamela Dorsey and her companion Beth Ann Mathioudakis of Indianapolis, IN; daughter-in-law,Helen Mary Dorsey of Hammond, IN; grandchildren, Cale, Jaclyn, Neil, Gregory, Bryan, Jennifer, Jerri Lynn and Bill; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David Francis Dorsey. Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Hospice of the Calumet Area and/or to your favorite Veteran’s organization would be appreciated. Francis served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne during World War II and was an avid Bears fan. He was employed by the Telephone Company (Indiana and Illinois Bell) for 33 years, and was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers.
