Frank G. Durish, 89, of Schererville, IN formerly of Steger, IL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009. He is survived by his daughter: Carol Harbin; sons: James (Sandra), Thomas and Gary (Lorie) Durish; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Thompson and Irene Ruder; brother: John (Mary) Durish; numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his wife: Catherine Durish and sister, Margaret Durish. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Friday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr Dyer, IN. Fr. Charles Niblick officiating. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Frank served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union.
