Franklin R. Truesdale, 89 of Monticello, IN formerly of Clearwater, FL and Chicago, IL passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Truesdale-Kawa, Franklin (Gwen) Truesdale, Daniel (Joanne) Truesdale and Dawn (Dennis) Downs; grandchildren, Scott Kawa, Melissa Kawa, Olivia Truesdale, Jacob (Olivia) Truesdale, Alexandria Truesdale and Lucas Truesdale; great granddaughter, Lilith Downs; sister-in-law, Roberta Truesdale; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann (nee Aanerud) Truesdale; parents William Thomas Truesdale and Mary McKibbin Truesdale; siblings, William Truesdale, Alexander “Rusty” Truesdale, Mary Sheffer,  Albert Truesdale and James Truesdale; son-in-law, Robert Navarro.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 9:15 am at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 440 Joliet St. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 3:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Frank was active in his community in Boy Scouts, coaching, precinct captain and member of the American Legion and VFW.  He retired as a Supervisor with the Building Department, City of Chicago. Frank enjoyed many years of retirement at Bay Aristocrat Village in Florida. Playing on a golf and bowling league and singing and performing with friends. He proudly served with the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.
