Genevieve Liszewski (nee Mierwa), 92, of Hegewisch, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. She is survived by her sons, Martin (Kathy) Liszewski and Paul (Janice) Liszewski; grandchildren, Audrey (Jeremy) Chambers, Vincent Liszewski, Walter Liszewski, Elisa (Thomas) Pozywio and Anthony Liszewski; great grandson, Max Pozywio; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Paulina (nee Kurwacz) Mierwa, husband, Walter Liszewski; siblings, Lillian (John) Stanislawczyk, Edward Mierwa, Joseph (Janina) Mierwa and Stanley (Helen) Mierwa. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 9:00 am at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at St. Florian Church, 13145 S. Houston Ave. Hegewisch, IL. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Genevieve was a member of St. Florian Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the St. John Paul II Polish Choir.
