Gerald Stanley Lesinski, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, surrounded by his family after battling Alzheimer’s for the last several years. Born to John and Helen Lesinski in Roseland in 1943, Jerry lost his father at age 10 and worked from a young age to help support his family. He went on to build a successful career in the homebuilding industry and later became a part-owner of Tuckaway Golf Course for 30 years. Tuckaway was Jerry’s favorite place to play, and he most enjoyed an ice-cold Smirnoff after a round of golf with friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Frank (Jackie) and John (Gail), and is survived by his sister, Arlene Kunst (Fred). He is survived by his wife Pamela; children Melissa (Andrew), David (Bridget), and Daniel (Samantha); grandchildren Nicholas (Taylor), Kailee (Zack), Alexander, Logan, Danielle, Cole, Luke, Max, and Drew; and great-grandson, baby Grayson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, at Kish Funeral Home in Munster, IN (10000 Calumet Ave), from 3:00-7:00 PM. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, October 2, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dyer, IN (440 Joliet St), followed by a reception at Lencioni’s Pub and Banquets in Lynwood, IL (3325 Glenwood Dyer Rd). A private Catholic interment will be held at a later time with family. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Marian Catholic High School in his memory would be appreciated.
