Geraldine Marie Theresa Golec (nee Murrell) January 13, 1941 – December 7, 2014 Wife to Valentine J. Golec (deceased), mother to James, Mark (Denise), Brian (Candace) and grandmother to 5 (Amanda, Corbin, Jeremy, Haley, and Brian). Geri was an employee of Walgreens and Ted's Supermarket. Geri was the fourth of five children of Snowden and Ruby (nee Slover) Murrell. She is survived by sisters Dorothy, Ima, brother Snowden, and preceded by sister, Wanda. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a long-time resident of the southeast side of Chicago (Hegewisch), and also of Lynwood, IL. We will miss seeing you Mom & Grandma, but you live on in our hearts.Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
