Gertrude M. Divine (nee Klank) 84 of Dyer, IN passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 ¬Ω years, Jesse E. Divine. Loving mother of Thomas Divine Sr, Cynthia (Rich) Gill, Sandra (Bob) Pieniazek, Nancy (Brad) Rohde and Diane (Erik) Anderson; proud grandma of Tommy (Jamie), Rachel (David), Travis (Lisa), Angela, Richard, Krystle, Emmaline (Jimmy), Heather (Erick), Mitchell, Brad, Justice, Casey, TJ, Jesse and Keagan; cherished GeGe to Zoe, Autumn, Braddy, Lily, Colten, Landyn and anxiously awaiting 2 more great grandchildren; fond sister of Bernice (late Chester) Plys, Raymond Klank and Rose (Chester) Surufka. Visitation will be on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday by Deacon Robert Gill at Kish Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Gertrude was formerly employed at Meridian Nursing Home, Dyer, IN and a member of St. Maria Goretti Church. She was always a happy, loving, firecracker of a person, who will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
