Graciela Castaneda, 88 of Dyer, IN formerly of South Chicago, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, on Thursday, June 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Guadalupe; Loving mother of Leonor (Richard) Stelmaszek, Elizabeth (Roman) Farias, Guadalupe (Mary Beth) Castaneda Jr; Grace Castaneda-Wells, Raul Castaneda, John (Rosetta) Castaneda, Shirley Castaneda and Michael (Cynthia) Castaneda; Cherished grandmother of Natalie, Matthew, Joseph, Roman Jr, Eric, Emily Grace, Megan, Michael, Nicolette, Ashley Grace, Marissa, Anthony, Vanessa, Cory and Morgann; devoted great grandmother of Madison Leah; fond sister of Alvaro (Elena) Martinez; Dear aunt of Mary Castaneda; Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3200 E. 91st St. Chicago, IL. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.

What a wonderful mother in-law, a heart of gold she has, pure love for all and she loved all of her family so much, and she loved all who joined the family, just like gold her love is rare and hard to find, my mother-in-law made it so simple to love her back.
