I unfortunately just heard about Greg's passing. I was a fraternity brother and co-wrestler with Greg at NIU. He was a fantastic person, and I'm certain will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I regret that I hadn't seen him in several years but we seemed to keep in touch through some common friends. God Bless his family during this very difficult time, you will be in my prayers.

It is Thursday afternoon and I just heard of Greg's death. I am saddened that such a good man was taken so quickly. I taught Greg at Mt Carmel H. S. and he was certianly one of the finest peole I have known. He represented us well. The Carmelite motto is from Elijan the prophet : with ZEAL I WILL BE ZEALOUS FOR THE LORD GOD OF HOSTS. He was filled with zeal for his family and all who knew him....Fr Hesburg was asked once why was Notre Dame successful - He answered because they were committed, competent and compassionate...Greg was all that and more.. My love and prayers to his family. Easter tells us we never say goodbye for the last time. Rest in peace Greg...you are loved forever. shalom
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

In high school, Greg was on the Mount Carmel Wrestling team, which I helped to coach. Greg was a young man of great character. Always working hard, trying to improve his skills. Always concerned about his teammates. Always approaching life with a positive attitude. I lost touch with Greg after he finished high school until a couple of years ago when I had a bit of email correspondence with him. I know he was super excited about the wrestling accomplishments of his son, Jake. Knowing the character of Greg, I am sure he was a devoted husband and a great father to his five daughters and son. Rest in Peace Greg.
