November 11, 1925 - September 22, 2011

Helen E. McShane, 85 of Munster, IN passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 22, 2011. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years: Joseph H. McShane; loving mother of James (Mary McShane, Moira (Nick) Lukas, Niall (Maria) McShane, Brian (Kaia) McShane and Peggy (Tom) Ogren; cherished grandmother of James (Melinda), Molly, Patrick (Kelly), Helena, Nikki (fiancé Dela), Anne (Ben), Mallory, Kara, Kelly (Nick), Megan, Evan, Danny and Colleen; caring great grandmother of Katie, Audrey, Lucy and Allie; fond sister of Lillian Radigan and Carol (Ed) Nowaczyk; caring sister in law of John (Mornette) McShane and Pat Austgen; numerous nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Fr. Michael Yadron officiating. Private interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Helen was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Church; member of the Carmelite Guild and Past President of the Woodmar Country Club Ladies Golf League. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the SHARE Foundation or INPACT Inc. in her memory would be appreciated.
