Helen M. Hengal, 87 of Highland, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She is survived by her son, Robert Hengal; daughter, Maria (Jerry) Heer; nephew, Charles (Linda) Kollar; niece, Lydia (Louis) Mysse; preceded in death by her husband, Zoltan in 1982. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 PM with a prayer service at 2:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 10:00-10:30 at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, 4759 McCook Ave. East Chicago, IN. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Helen was a retired cook from Freddy’s Steakhouse in Hammond, IN; She was a member of the Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, the Rosary Sodality and the American Legion Allied Post 369 Ladies Auxiliary.
