Helen R. Zilenas, 94 of Schererville, IN passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Dr. Walter) Urbanski and Ona Zilenas; son; John (LaVerne) Galambos; grandchildren, Steve, Natalie, Matthew, David, Tim and Tara; 7 great grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband, Tony and brother, Michael. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Highland, IN. Interment will be at Ressurection Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. Helen was born in East Chicago, IN and was a longtime resident of Highland, In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.
