Helen Thomas, 95, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Beloved mother of Cheri (Patrick) O’Brien and Wendy (Dan) Depa; loving grandmother of Deborah (Michael) Pluard, Kellie (Ronald) Brandner, Janet (Alan) Kaufman and David (Jennifer) Depa; cherished great grandmother of 11; She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thomas; infant son, Tommy Thomas; parents, Fred and Edna Dunfee; brothers, Rex, Robert and William Dunfee. Visitation will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Helen was a member of the Ridge United Methodist Church and the Lydia Circle at the church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends. Memorial contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area would be appreciated.
