Helen Vlamis (nee Gianopolus), 95 of Highland, IN passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Beloved mother of Sam (Sheri) Vlamis and Debra (Kevin) Weiler. Loving grandmother of Kristina (Tom) Taylor, Jennifer (Steve) Armes, Ted (Julie) Vlamis, Sam (Aleka) Vlamis, Julian Stefanik and Helene Stefanik. Cherished great grandmother of 9. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ted in 2010.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 7021 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Trisagion Service at 4:00 pm. Memorial contributions to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church or Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.

Wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the family. I grew up with Helen in South Chicago a small Greek community. Our parents were Strick, and we could not go anywhere. All of us young ladies started a Greek club called Socialite and had a little freedom to go to the show and a few other places am 93 years old so I don't know how many are living today.
