Herbert Medina M.D. 85, of Munster, IN passes away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. A loving and dedicated father and husband, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angelina; daughter, Dr. Patricia (Richard) McDevitt; sons, Dr. Enrico (Anna) Medina and Eric (Gina) Medina; grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Mark and Corinne; sisters, Aida Malabanan, Minda Medina and Betty Tolentino; many cousins, nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters. Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 3:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 10:00-10:30 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Interment will be at St. Joseph/St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Dr. Herbert graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, had been a physician for nearly 60 years,and lived in Northwest Indiana for 46 years. He was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Church. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man, caring for his patients and enjoying many activities. Always an avid sportsman, he loved cars, but his greatest love was his grandchildren.
