Ina Martin Ramirez, 85 of Hobart, IN formerly of Calumet City passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Ina is survived by her sisters, Delores (late Clarence) Greenwood, Anna (late George) Frankland, Martha (late Walter) Sabaitis and Glenna (late Steve) McAfee; brother-in-law Lupe (Gloria) Ramirez, sister-in-law Connie Peña, many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ramirez and parents, Orrin and Lelia Martin and sisters Elizabeth Cross, Mary (Ray) Williams, and brother Robert Martin.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

Ina was a hard worker and retired from Sears Roebuck in River Oaks after 30+ years of service. She loved to travel and ride Amtrak Trains with John. She enjoyed having Sunday dinners with Lupe and Gloria and their children and families. Ina had a heart of gold and was considered everybody’s Aunt Ina. She was a loyal Cubs fan and loved college sports especially Purdue, IU and Iowa college basketball. Ina loved to watch her nephews play ice hockey and would ring the WWI cowbell and cheer for her boys. Ina was a member and involved with the American

Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Her strong Christian faith was a reflection of how she lived and guided her through the tough times.
