Hello O’Neill Clan,How sweet you all live in my summer memories of my 16th year. I was your babysitter…I am Cathy the daughter of Jean and Jay Kelly.Mr. O’Neill allowed me to drive us around in the big Caddy, what a thrill. He was so kind and generous in so many ways I took his ‘driving tips’ very seriously. To this day I think of him every time I pull up to a light with a left turn lane (and I NEVER turn the wheels early; just in case you get rear ended!) He told me I would be a good driver once I achieved 50,000 miles. Joan, I will never forget you arriving at our house, just after Mom passed, with a big roast beef; you fed us in our grief for days!I am holding you all in my heart and in my prayers. How blessed and lucky was Mr. O’Neill to have all of you; and all of you for having him! From the Kelly’s to the O’Neill Clan…Sending you love and prayers,Catherine

Dear Joanie - and all of my O'Neill cousins - I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing - but also so pleased that he was a part of my life. I will always remember him fondly - especially from my time at Notre Dame and the few years after graduation when I lived and worked in Chicago. He was truly a force of nature - and a wonderful inspiration to me. I feel certain that he and my Mom & Dad are sharing a celebratory moment together right now.Love to you all,Dan
