Jack W. Stine, age 93, of Munster, IN passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Barbara; daughter, Jean Creasbaum and son, Thomas Stine; grandchildren, Jacob Creasbaum, Katy Stine, Becka (Brian) Altiere and Emily (Eric) Welter; great grandchildren, Brennon, Brooks and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Robert W. Stine and son-in-law, Dennis Creasbaum. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN with Reverend Quincy Worthington officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service. After 40 years of service, Jack retired from NIPSCO in 1989, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He served in the U.S. Army, during WWII in Europe. Jack was Past President of Calumet Council Boys Scouts of America and Past Member of the Munster Rotary Club. He was named “Sagamore of the Wabash” by Governor Edward Whitcomb. Jack was a Charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Past President of the Munster School Board. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jack’s name to the Alzheimer Association.
