Jacqueline Jeanne Harle Etling of New Berlin, Wisconsin (formerly of Munster, Indiana) passed away in her home on July 19, 2013. Jacqueline was born on November 24, 1931 to Thomas and Nan Harle of Calumet City, Illinois. After attending Thornton Fractional High School, she went on to graduate summa cum laude from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. On October 23, 1954, she married the love of her life, James Clifford Etling. She was a mother of nine children, including three sets of twins, but she was really a mother to all who knew her. Her positive attitude and kind spirit had a significant and lasting impact on every person that she met. She is preceded in death by James (husband), Thomas and Nan Harle (parents), Robert Harle (brother), and Phyllis Buffington (sister). She is survived by her siblings: Tom (Marlene), Ruth and Patricia; and by her children: James (Karen) Etling, Barbara (John) Murphy, Mary Ann Etling, Thomas (Maria) Etling, Susan (David) Anderson, Catherine (Gregg) Bittner, Michael (Laura) Etling, Patricia (Daniel) Suprenant, and Jane (Stephen) DuFauchard. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren: Lauren, Megan and Brian Etling; Daniel (Leah) Murphy; Leo (Katie), Michael (Amanda), Kevin and Sara Joyce; Kathryn and Elizabeth Etling; Rebecca, Sally and Thomas Anderson; Melissa Bittner; James and Joseph Etling; Emily (Patrick) Shanley and Daniel Suprenant; Benjamin and Jackson DuFauchard; and one great-grandchild, John Murphy. Visitation will be at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN on Monday, July 29 from 3-8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Thomas More Church in Munster, Indiana on Tuesday, July 30 at 10 am.
