James Harvey Zaun, 75 of Dyer, IN formerly of Munster, IN passed away after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dee Zaun (nee Benko); daughter, Kristin (Dr. Daniel) Orozco of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Daniel, Dillon, and Riley; brother, David (Joan) Zaun of Bonita Springs, FL; niece, Laura (David) Taylor of West Lafayette, IN; nephew, Brad (Natalie) Zaun of Fishers, IN; several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Zaun; parents, Harvey and Ethel Zaun. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 14, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. Jim was born February 18, 1935, and raised in Hammond, IN, graduate of Hammond High School and received his degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany for 2 years, retired from Inland Steel after 30 years of service in the Information Technologies Management Department; A charter member, Church Elder, and Deacon at Westminster Presbyterian Church; member of the Munster Lions Club where he was Lion of the Year in 2006 and a 45 year member of the Dinner Club where he developed many special lifelong friendships. Munster, IN 46321 in his memory would be appreciated.
