James C. Szymanski, 71 of Hammond, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Loving husband, father and grandfather, He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Modesta; daughters, Norlyn (Adool) Ferguson of Columbus, OH and Catherina (Zachary) Mattingly of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Noelani, Keilana, Halia, Malaya, Koa and Alina; brother, David (Dayle) Szymanski of Boyertown, PA. Visititation will be on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 11:30-12:00 at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 12:00 PM at St. John Bosco Church, Hammond, IN. Interment will be private. James was a member of St. John Bosco Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
