Janice L. Mercon, 67, of Lansing, IL passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Beloved aunt of Laura Harris, Angelo (Julie) Vitiritti and Lisa (Joe) Pluta; loving great aunt of Gianna Harris, Louis, Michael and Nicolas Vitiritti, Kelly DeHaan and Anthony Pluta; cherished niece of Sue Carlson; numerous dear cousins and special friends; preceded in death by her parents, John “Brownie” Mercon and Mary “Red” Hinko, sister and brother in law Darlene and Louis Vitiritti, aunts, uncles and very close friends. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Point) Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:0 AM at the funeral home. Cremation to follow service with private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Janice retired from Meccon Industries in Lansing, IL. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in her memory would be appreciated.
