Jean A. Sidor, 95 of Munster, IN passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. Jean A. Sidor, 95 of Munster, IN passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. She is survived by her son, Martin (Linda) Sidor; daughters, Joanna (Dennis) Huis, and Anita (Tom) Hemingway; grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Sidor, Christy (Dave) Williams, Becky (Vivek) Nallapaneni, Allison, Jake, and Kathryn Hemingway; great grandchildren, Trey and Parker Williams, Priya and Mila Nallapaneni. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Thomas; parents, Eugene and Anna Schwartz, and brother, Fr. Paul Schwartz.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3:00-6:00 pm with a prayer service at 3:30 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Monday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.
Jean was a member and past president of the STM Altar and Rosary Society; past chairman of the STM Pastoral Council, Past chairman of the Parish Life, Spirituality, and Worship Commissions; member and, Secretary of the original parish festival committee for 10 years; chairman of the funeral luncheons; former Girl Scout Leader, assistant volleyball and softball coach; active Eucharistic Minister and Pastoral Care Ministries. She volunteered at Hartsfield Gift Shop and was part of the welcoming committee. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the SHARE Foundation or St. Vincent DePaul in her memory would be appreciated.
