Jeanette Yvonne Helmer, 83, of Highland, IN passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. Jeanette Yvonne Helmer, 83, of Highland, IN passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. She is survived by her sons, William (Gina) Helmer, Robert (Donna) Helmer and Joseph (JoEllen) Helmer; grandchildren, Kristina, Katherine, Andrew, Kelsey, Sam, Grace, Jacob and Jaycee; great grandchildren Ryan, Nathan and Justin; twin brother, Don (Joan) Grace; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Edward and Jeanette Grace, granddaughter, Margaret and her dear friend, Dr. Robert Rubright. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Private interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Yvonne was a graduate St. Mary’s College School of Nursing and worked in the pediatric department of the Hammond Clinic for over 30 years retiring in 2000. Yvonne lived a very active lifestyle and especially loved growing up and spending time at Koontz Lake with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Share Foundation (www.sharefoundation.org) in her memory would be appreciated.
