Jeffrey Alan Balazs, age 73 of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jo Ellen (nee Gulotta) Balazs; son, Jason Balazs; daughter, Jillian (Chris) Balazs; sisters, Debra (Edward) Monsour, Donna Jo (Jack) Turza and Pamela (Gerry) Stout; and several nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia Balazs.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Visitation will be on Monday, at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 pm service. Interment will be private.

Jeffrey proudly retired from The Times as circulation manager, yet always had a newspaper in his hands. He was avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Nortre Dame football teams. When the games weren’t on, Jeffrey enjoyed working on stained glass art. In the past, he has made several beautiful lamps including art pieces. Jeffrey also had a green thumb when it came to gardening, especially tomatoes.  He was a humble man and loved his family dearly.
