Jerry M. Springer

Jerry M. Springer, 81, of Schererville, IN passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was born on November 3, 1932 to Max and Helen Springer of Robinson, IL and preceded him in death. Jerry is survived by Joyce, his wife of 58 years, his children Craig (Kirsten), David (Allie) and Philip, grandchildren David Jr., Lauren and Courtney, and cousin Greg (Jean) Stayton. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in 1995. Jerry served in the U.S. Army, retiring from service after 2 years. For 40 years of his professional career, Jerry worked at NIPSCO, rising to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Jerry retired from NIPSCO in 1988. He was devoted to his family and faith, and was a man of uncommon character and perseverance. Jerry will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN with Deacon James Renwick officiating. Viewing and visitation to occur beforehand from 9:30 to 1:00. In view of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
