Jesus Plasencia, age 93 formerly of St. John, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He is survived by his son, Jesse (Andrea) Plasencia Jr; grandchildren, Alec Plasencia, Alexis (Armondo Ciarlo) Plasencia; great grandsons, Sabastion and Nolan Ciarlo; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Rosario (nee Benavidez); wife, Alma Plasencia (September 2023); daughter, Maria Plasencia (2005); sister, Elvira Plasencia and brother, Manuel Plasencia.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Entombment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Crown Point, IN followed by a memorial luncheon. Visitation will be on Saturday, at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service.
Jesus retired from US Steel after 41 years. He was a former long-time member of the Azteca Soccer Club and fan of the World Cup Soccer attending many events throughout the world.
