Joan J. Grod, 84 of Munster, IN formerly of Calumet City, IL passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband: Walter A. Grod and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Saturday from 9:30-10:00 at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with Fr. Charles Niblick officiating; Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Joan retired as a welder from Myler Pipe. She enjoyed flower gardening and fishing for the past 38 years.
