Joan (Pluta) Lozano, age 73, of Dyer, IN, passed away Sunday, October 23,2016. She is survived by her daughters, Mike Fairchild and Becky (Jen) Lozano;son, Chris (Carol) Lozano; grandsons, Alex Lozano and Drew Lozano; sisters, Pat(late Frank) Bonick, Delores (late Tom) Tigner, Lorraine (Carlos) Peddycourt, andAnnie (Shawn) Buchanan; and best friends, Sandy Bollett and Phyllis Glatt. Shewas preceded in death by her husband, Manuel “Manny” Lozano and herparents, Ben and Stephanie Pluta. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 DIRECTLY at St.Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with a 10:00 a.m. Massof Christian Burial, officiated by Reverend Charles Niblick. Interment will followat Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Friday,October 28, 2016 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, at the church from 9:30 a.m. untilthe 10:00 a.m. Mass. Joan’s generous spirit in life, continues as an organ donor for others, she willbe dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan’s name toSusan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research
