Joan T. Gilgallon, 77 of Munster, IN formerly of Dolton, IL passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Beloved mother of Susan (Timothy) Craig and Mark (Steven Potts) Gilgallon; loving sister of Thomas (late Ann) McDonald; cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gilgallon; brother, Paul McDonald and parents, Thomas and Mimi McDonald. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at St. Joseph / St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Joan was a former member of St. Jude Church in South Holland, IL and a member of St. Thomas More Church. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or the South Suburban Humane Society in her memory would be appreciated.
